Do you want to be part of Region Jämtland Härjedalen - a region to long for and grow in? With us, you contribute to development and growth throughout the county and work to provide the best possible service, care, and support for everyone living in or visiting the region.
We offer a work environment characterized by collaboration, participation, and commitment, where both breadth and specialized competence are utilized. Here you have the opportunity to develop in your role, whether you are new to the profession or have extensive experience.
Region Jämtland Härjedalen is a region to long for and grow in. We will work for development and growth in Jämtland Härjedalen and offer all residents and visitors high-quality healthcare. Our vision is good health, and we want to be a region that you long for and grow in. With us, you work with colleagues from many professions, with both specialized and broad competence. You are also a member of our staff association, which offers a variety of different and fun activities. Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organizationally part of Division Close Care together with Ambulance, Dental Care, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice, youth reception, and the local care department Näva, all of which are grant-funded.
Backe Health Center is a small rural unit with a total of about 1,097 registered residents, as well as about 300 additional patients registered from adjacent regions. We currently have 7 employees and are located in an old hospital building built in the village in the 1960s. Yes, it needs renovation, and this is something that will be investigated during your first time on site, so we are facing changes ahead, and we hope you want to be part of making that change.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Working as a district doctor with us means that you assess, investigate, treat, and advise patients in primary care, with various types of complaints and issues. You work with health-promoting activities, group activities, and collaborate with other professionals at the health center. You will work based on evidence-based methods individually, in group activities, and via the internet.
We actively work to develop our treatment efforts for good living habits and to prevent long-term sick leave, and part of this work is that within Region Jämtland Härjedalen, we have long invested in a clear distribution of the number of registered patients per doctor and have worked hard for a permanent doctor contact, which today means that we are very close to the National Board of Health and Welfare's overarching goal of 1,100 registered patients per doctor.

The position will also involve work at the Health Center in Strömsund as we have a close collaboration. Strömsund Health Center has about 5,000 registered patients and has fresh and functional premises; adjacent to the health center is the Local Care Department (Näva).
The position also includes on-call duties some evenings and weekends that we share with Strömsund and another provider. It also includes teaching, supervision, and training of medical students at Umeå University, as the Primary Care area has the status of a university hospital unit. There is also the possibility of remote work to a certain extent.
We will be flexible regarding your assignment and are willing to find hybrid solutions where the operation allows it.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a Swedish medical license and be a specialist in general medicine, and since we work in rural areas, a driver's license is beneficial.
Personal qualities:
We work with good and close care, and you are someone who wants to continue our work to be a welcoming health center for both patients, partners, and colleagues. You are proactive and want to drive development and change, and you are of course reliable.

Selection and appointment may occur continuously during the advertising period, so we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible.
We have an established communication method for recruitment and therefore kindly but firmly request no contact with advertising sellers or other sellers of recruitment services.
